In case you are wondering...

We were at the Chicago Comic-Con this past weekend and what a good time! We've been participating in this event for many many years first we had a booth where we sold statues and books. It was always an interesting experience watching all the comic book fans walking by the booth - how many times did I hear "so do you have the blah blah blah comic book with the first appearance of so and so"? (Comic book fans, insert a comic book name and character name here.) One time we had this statue of a "character" (a rather stacked female) named Black Cat. The statue was about 15 inches tall with a "retro" 70's outfit that was a purple pant suit (of sorts) with low riding hip huggers and a halter top with long sleeves, and of course a plunging neckline. Around the cuffs, neckline, and pant cuffs was white fur. To make a long story short, this guy was caressing the plunging neckline - stroking the fur. He then asks me, "is this real fur?". Yeah, and if you stroke it you buy it! Get a room! Seriously, and really, he was serious, we did work really hard for four days at this convention. Now, we are just attendees instead of doing sales. I went to this event this weekend with a new perspective, looking at it from a "fan" viewpoint and also a photographer. We bumped in to these two guys on the way in to the show on Sunday. I think they each had a roll of toilet paper down their crotches. More to come!
