Something about Sasha

Back in August my 21 year old cat went on her final kitty destination. The last few years were spent with weekly trips to the vet for IV's. And one week it was my husband's turn to take her in and while he was sitting in the waiting room he was reading a Cat Fancy magazine and sees this breed - Somali. He came down and said when we were to get another cat we would need to look in to one of these. So, we visited this breeder in Chicago and picked out this little one. She started out to be this sweet little girl kitty, and now? Now, she's still a sweet kitty, but she's quite the brat! She steals food, let's see, especially bread or really anything in a plastic bag. Seriously, she tried to take a loaf of bread (in a plastic bag) and the bread weighed more than she did - yet she tried to drag it off the counter and out of the kitchen. My Grandson was here and said "No, No!". So now we have dietary issues. This cat may realistically have the feline version of Irritable Bowel. And we have come to the point where we are making special food for her and trying to see how that goes. We are cooking chicken, and carrots and rice and then mixing it all together. This is also interesting because we are feeding Punky the same, much to her dismay. The "Punkster" from the shelter can eat whatever she wants and does just fine. It's going to be an interesting experiment! Wish us luck!
